SecPoint History

SecPoint was founded in 1998 in a basement in Jutland, Denmark by Victor Christiansenn at the age of 16. It was a dedicated consulting firm that specialized in IT security auditing with its own developed SecPoint Scanner Engine.
In 1999 SecPoint was turned into a privately held company.

The clear vision of SecPoint has been from the beginning and still is to be the Number #1 IT Security Company preferred by the customers.
In 1998 the development of the SecPoint Scanner Engine began to archive the goal.
In 2003 the first Distributors signed up and started selling the SecPoint products to their resellers.
In 2008 more than 500 active selling partners were connected to SecPoint.

The Protector:                                                                                                                  In 2005 the customers were saying that now they knew their
vulnerabilities they wanted a strong Intrusion Prevention to protect
their servers.
This resulted in the Protector that uses the same engine as in the
SecPoint Scanner with more than 5.000 unique attacker tests to block from.
From 2006-2008 more features have been added to the Protector such as
Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Content Filtering, Web filtering and more than 11.000 unique attacker counter attacks.
In 2007 the Protector Won #1 award in an independent test winning over 7
other competitors.

The Penetrator:
With the success of the SecPoint Penetrator the customers
requested a hardware appliance to audit their internal networks and to
have all the sensitive data on their own appliance. The First Penetrator
appliance was released in 2005.
The basic purpose was to do auditing of their internal systems. During the period up to 2008 several functionalities have been added such as
Extended reporting in PDF, HTML, XML formats, Scheduled Auditing,
Distributed Auditing, Launch of Real Exploits, Protocol Bruteforce,
Password Bruteforce and Multi User Login.

The Portable Penetrator:
In the year 2007 the customers had a request for a Portable Penetrator
solution where they could audit Wireless Networks.
The Portable Penetrator was released in 2008 and it offers an easy to use
user friendly user interface that allows auditing of WEP, WPA, WPA2 and cracking of wifi wireless networks.
